Access control is mostly done with RFID or barcodes. For temporary registration, barcodes and QR codes are more often used, both printed and on smart phones. Idtronic has developed the ID IDENT 1000 for both applications. This scanning unit combines HF RFID technology with 1D and 2D barcodes. The unit can be supplied with a Wiegand 16/34, RS485, RS232 or (mini)USB connection, optionally TCP/IP is also possible.
With simple setup software, the functions of the unit can be adjusted such as IP settings, HID settings, card number format and possible linefeed.
Due to its small built-in dimensions of 7.1×7.1×3.4 cm, the unit can be used for many applications. The screen is equipped with tempered glass.
The ID IDENT 1000 uses internal lighting when scanning bar codes, eliminating the need for an external light source. A red and green LED displays the status of scanning.
