Small, flat, no higher than 7.8 millimeters, the SFM safety relay with forced contacts, saves board space, reduces cabling compared to a DIN-rail module to the minimum, and meets the required EN61810-3 standardization. The SFM is also available as a through-hole-reflow version for automatic bestucking.
These safety relays are among the smallest on the market, so they can be used ín an application rather than placed separately next to it.
Because each relay has only one make and one break contact, the cause of a fault condition is quickly found. This makes the SFM, unlike multipole relays, ideal in a modular setup. Moreover, the SFM is very energy-efficient, with a holding load of only 100mW. Applications can be very diverse, as safety relays in industrial machinery, escalators, train door monitoring, access control, etc.
