Ratioplast's Fiber-optic-M12 system is a data converter from copper to fiber optic. This creates a galvanic separation in industrial M12 Ethernet networks between the various devices. Galvanic separation is desirable to increase reliability and avoid outages caused by lightning, transients and other electrical surges.
Standardized DIN61754-27 coupling and excellent optical and mechanical characteristics make this robust switch particularly suitable for industrial environments. Because the wire pairs in the connector are shielded by a spring-loaded sleeve, wear and damage is minimized. Also, the spring-loaded connection provides optimal coupling between the connector and the counterpart.
The Fiber-optic-M12 system is available with 2.5mm sleeves for Polymer Optical Fiber (POF) but also for PCF -and multimode fiber.
