Solid state relays from Celduc are constructed with an input circuit, a switching circuit and an output circuit. In terms of functionality, these are not comparable to regular mosfet relays that have only a switching circuit on board. The advantage of a Celduc solid state relay is that, in addition to much higher switching capacities, it is tested as a whole to industry standards such as CE, UL, UKCA, EAC etc.
Celduc's DC PCB program consists of two families:
- STD-SPD SLD
SIL and DIL through-hole; in multiple versions: switching voltage 0-60Vdc for 2.5-5A control voltage 3-32Vdc or 12-30Vac/dc - SKLD
SIL through-hole; in several versions: switching voltage 7-36Vdc for 8-10A control voltage 3-32Vdc; back side provided with heatsink to optionally install a slide-on heat sink or for mounting against heatsink if heat management requires it
Other non-PCB versions DC solid state relay series from Celduc go up to 1700Vdc and 150A.
Determining the right relay has more variables than just current and voltage. Ambient temperature, duty cycle and type of load affect the right choice.
Applications that need long-term, reliable, frequent and precise switching are best off with solid state relays from Celduc.
