Bivar's GVLP series consists of vertical LED light pipes for compact electronic systems where the distance between the PCB and the front panel is limited. The light pipes feature an integrated press-fit mounting system, allowing them to be positioned directly on the printed circuit board without the need for adhesive or thermal bonding.
This design is intended for situations where assembly space and component spacing are critical. The GVLP series is compatible with various SMD LED sizes, including 0402, 0603, 0805, and 0807. This allows the light guide to be used with common LED configurations on the PCB.
The press-fit principle not only simplifies mechanical assembly but also eliminates the need for an additional fastening step. In production environments, this results in a reduction in the number of process steps and components.
The series is designed for applications including industrial electronics, measurement and control technology, communications equipment, test and measurement systems, and embedded equipment.
