For designers of devices with Tefoo Li-Ion batteries, an efficient and compact tool is now available to read SMBus data from batteries. This tool provides detailed insights into the status, configuration and measured values of Tefoo hard case batteries, displayed on a bright two-color display. Information displayed includes:
- Make, model, serial number, production date
- Battery voltage
- State of Charge (SOC).
- Temperature
- Remaining capacity
- Full Charge Capacity
- State of Health (SOH).
- Number of charging cycles (Cycle Count)
The tool uses a 5-pin blade connector that easily plugs into any Tefoo pack. For long-term storage or during ocean shipment, the battery can be put into deep sleep mode, reducing its own power consumption to as little as 10 μA. The integrated USB-C interface acts as a power supply to activate the battery after it enters deep sleep or protection mode.
Tefoo offers a wide range of hard case Li-Ion batteries built with Panasonic 18650 cells, which meet IEC62133-2:2017 and UN38.3 certifications. These certifications enable quick and safe integration of interchangeable Li-Ion batteries into portable and medical devices. Tefoo's battery versions range from 3.6V, 7.2V, 10.8V to 14.4V, with capacities from 3,400 mAh to 13,200 mAh.
