Semi flex panels with new cell technology

Solarparts introduces the semi flexible solar panels with high efficiency cells from Taiwan's Day4. These high power cells, with > 20% efficiency are also very affordable compared to other cells. The fine-grained structure of connections makes the individual cell much more robust. The manufacturing process also requires much lower temperatures, making thermal stress and associated micro-cracks in cells virtually non-existent. If micro-cracks do occur during rough use or over time, their negative impact on efficiency is very limited. Furthermore, the internal resistance of fine-mesh conductors is much lower, so there are fewer losses. Less surface area of silicon is covered by the bus bars, leaving more surface area available to generate energy. This makes these cells ideally suited for low light environments such as the Dutch winter days.
