German SBS has supplemented its existing Unipower product line with two new lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) based battery modules. Under the name CUBE, the manufacturer introduces compact packs designed for applications where reliability, thermal stability and long life are required and, in particular, for integration in AGVs. Therefore, CUBE series uses large cylindrical LFP 32140 cells with an extremely wide operating temperature range from -30 to +50 °C. The lifetime is specified at up to 3000 cycle at 100% DOD and 70% SOH.
The CUBE available in two configurations:
- CUBE 1.0
electrical specifications: 48Vdc, 0.72kW, 30A/45A peak 3 sec.
dimensions: 165x190x143mm and ~7kg - CUBE 2.0
electrical specifications: 44.8Vdc, 2kW, 30A/75A peak 2 sec.
dimensions 300x336x125mm and ~20kg
The communication interface is suitable for CANopen, CiA301, Cia418 and both types are certified to IEC 62619, UN 38.3, UL 2580.
Both modules are designed as compact, robust battery units with attention to mechanical stability and safety. They can be equipped with customer-specific connectors and come with international certifications for industrial and transportation applications.
