The RFID hardware from the AX’UP Air and AX’UP Dongle is now available as an OEM module. The AX’UP OEM is a compact, slim PCB with RAIN RFID, designed for integration into both mobile and fixed systems.
Applications include, for example, the automatic recognition of tools or accessories connected to a machine, such as detecting the correct attachment; tracking and registering products during testing and calibration processes; or granting access rights via a portable device, such as a service tool or handheld terminal.
Depending on the application, the module supports Bluetooth or USB-C. The AX’UP Air can be used in inventory mode (Virtual COM) or as an HID keyboard, while the dongle version offers only HID functionality. This makes the module highly versatile for a wide range of identification and track-and-trace applications.
With an output power of 27 dBm—equivalent to that of handheld models—and an external antenna connection via a U.FL connector, the AX’UP OEM delivers stable RF performance in a compact form factor. Its design, featuring a main PCB and a separate power supply board, enhances serviceability: damage to the power supply section can be quickly repaired without replacing the entire unit.
With a standby current consumption of just 16 mA, the module is suitable for battery-powered applications.
