Panasonic has a new type of PIR that combines two functions with a unique lens design. In the center is high-precision detection of motion, around it is standard detection. The accurate detection in the center includes:
- A temperature difference of 4 between object and environment
- A movement of at least 0.5 m/s
- Dimensions of at least 200x220mm
The Saturn type is available in multiple colors. This sensor is also ideal for battery-powered applications. In addition to the standard version with a current consumption of 170μA, there are also variants of 1, 2 or 6μA, where a simple button cell already guarantees years of operation.
Sensing with boundary conditions is unique and makes the application Panasonic PIR sensors as simple as possible. Panasonic uses only three connection pins, which is the same for all types. There are versions for example for 5 or 12 meters detection, this offers maximum freedom for all applications.
