With the VEC 3R0 507 QG, Vinatech has a 500F 3V supercap in a ∅35*82mm cylindrical cell. The higher energy density makes these EDLC cells ideal for energy buffering. The application can be as a single cell, but series and/or parallel circuits are also possible, but balancing is then desirable.
Buffering energy is both capturing and releasing energy. Unlike a battery, a supercap can respond faster and release energy more frequently; the number of charge and discharge cycles is huge, over 500,000.
With this 3V, Vinatech has an advantage over other providers because the operating range is larger. The 500F supercap has a peak current of as much as 230A. The wide operating temperature range of - 40 ~ +65℃ provides freedom for a multitude of applications in demanding environments, including:
- Regenerative energy systems
- Backup power supplies
- Complementary start/peak support for batteries and accumulators
