Citizen introduces the 5th generation of COB white power LEDs. Here is an improvement of the lumen output by 3.5 - 7%, in addition, the thermal resistance is reduced by 35%. This reduces the Tj of the LED and the LED can be driven more heavily in an existing fixture at the same Tc values. For new fixtures a smaller and therefore cheaper heatsink can be chosen.
With this 5th generation, Citizen is further expanding its lead in the COB market and consolidating its position as market leader.
