For releasing machines or machine functions, RFID is increasingly being used. This allows, for example depending on the level of knowledge or responsibility, stepped access to be granted for certain functions or settings.
For this purpose, Idtronic has two waterproof readers:
- NEO Panel
- NEO Access
The NEO Panel reader fits into a panel cut-out of 22.3mm diameter and is equipped with a USB or RS-232 (DB9) connector. The reader is supported by Silabs USB VCP driver in Windows, OSX, Linux and Android.
Available as a surface mount reader is the NEO Access reader, this reader works with RS485 - Modbus.
An SDK is freely available for both readers.
