Koch's DSM4.0 controls and relieves the DC link of AC drives and serves four sub-areas:
- braking energy storage
- increase energy efficiency (peak shaving)
- reducing the peak load of the controller (lifetime)
- increase machine speed
In combination with external storage media such as capacitors, supercaps or batteries, it is also possible to realize an on-board DC power supply for an elevator or car, making interference-prone cable jams a thing of the past.
