An emergency unit that includes both an LED driver, a lithium battery for backup power and a battery charger, and is also more compact in size than the same solution with separate modules; that's Fulham's HotSpot Plus.
In addition to the 45W version, there is now also a 70W version. Thanks to this LED driver, every fixture also becomes an emergency lighting fixture. The integrated backup power supply ensures that the light source is still powered in the event of a power failure. There is no more need for an extra light source that is only used during emergency situations. The HotSpot Plus series is CE and ENEC approved with a compact housing:
- 45W is shorter and wider 229 x 82mm, for mounting above the ceiling
- 70W is long and narrow 424 x 30mm, for integration into a fixture
Fulham integrated a monthly and annual self-test function. As long as everything is fine, the test switch remains green; if there is a problem, it turns red. A simple visual inspection is enough to notice this. In addition, the emergency power supply is programmable between 1W and 6W, which is 540 and 90 minutes of burn time, respectively. The LED drivers are 0-10V dimmable and programmable in increments of 1 mA with a user-friendly programming tool.
The emergency unit built with Lithium iron phosphate batteries comes with a 5-year warranty, also on the battery pack.
The 45W version is also available as DALI dimmable with the possibility of turning it into a Bluetooth 5.0 emergency unit LED driver with an add-on Smartlink.
